We’re excited to share with you the cool changes that we’ve been working on for the past few weeks.

Here's what's been cooking:

  • New features in the Pixel editor
  • Instructions link
  • Other changes

New features in the Pixel editor

Box and ellipse tools

We added two new tools in the pixel editor: box and ellipse. You can activate the box tool and the ellipse tool by pressing M and J, respectively. Press Shift+M to activate the eraser box tool and press Shift+J to activate the eraser ellipse tool.

To draw an ellipse, start by drawing a line to determine the diameter. Make sure the line meets the center of the objects. Next, move the ellipse upwards or downwards to determine its size.

Overwrite mode

When you activate the Overwrite mode, you can add instances in annotated areas. The system will delete the annotated bottom layers automatically.

Instructions link

You can now add a link to your documents that contains your project’s instructions. Go to Settings, press Add instructions link, and add the link. You may enter the title of the instructions document. The title will be displayed throughout the platform. If you choose not to add a title, the link will be displayed instead. When you’re done, click Save.

Team members can access the link through the Settings tab or by clicking the Instructions link button in the editor’s top panel. The same applies to the instructions files.

Only Team owners, Team admins, and Project admins can add and edit instructions. They can do so in the Settings tab or in the editor by clicking on the Instructions link button in the top panel.

Other changes

  • The Team owner now appears in the list of Team members.
  • We removed the Copy and Paste icons. To copy and paste an instance, first make sure it is assigned to a class, then press Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, respectively.

Stay updated because we’re always working on exciting features!
