November 2020
It’s been a while since the last time we shared with you new updates, that’s because we were busy adding cool features to SuperAnnotate to improve your user experience.
Here's what's been cooking:
- Request images in the editor
- Share projects with unverified users
- Add contributors during project setup
- New keyboard shortcuts
- Bug fixes and improvements
Request images in the editor
Annotators and QAs can now request images directly from the editor by clicking the plus button in the Images panel. They will be automatically assigned up to 50 images and cannot have more than 50 images at a time. Annotators and QAs have to finish working on the assigned images to be able to request more images.
Share projects with unverified users
Project admins can now share projects with unverified users, while it was previously only possible to do so with team members who have verified their emails. Note that unverified users appear as emails in the drop-down menu. When these users verify their accounts, their full names will be displayed in the list. After selecting a user, assign them a role, and click Share.
Add contributors during project setup
Creating a project now takes three steps instead of two. The third step asks you to add contributors to your project. Add team members to your project by selecting the users from the drop-down menu, assign each member a role, then select Add. When you’re done, click Create.
You can still create a project if you see this message: "There are no team members in this team." In this case, click Create, invite team members, then add contributors to your project.
Upload images at their original quality
You can now upload images and preserve their original quality. To do that, go to Settings, and check the circle next to Original. Note that setting the image quality to original may slow down the system performance.

Bug fixes and improvements
- We added a button in the editor’s right panel that expands and collapses all the instances.
We want you to have the best experience, so we’re always adding cool features, making improvements, and fixing bugs. More cool stuff is coming your way.
