This release brings you exciting improvements and features that revolutionize your SuperAnnotate experience.

Explore instances

You can now generate a dataset of a project’s images to check the quality of the annotations in a grid view.

Generate dataset

  1. Go to the Images tab.
  2. Select the Explore button.
  3. In the popup, choose Explore.

📘

Only Team owners and Team admins can generate and explore datasets.

When the dataset generation completes successfully, select the arrow icon to go to the Explore page. The Explore page features all the project’s images. When you select an image, you will be redirected to the editor.

Explore dataset

The Explore page gives you a grid view of all the image search results. You can see the instances of all the images.

Hover over an image to see its name and status, and select the copy and paste icon to copy the image name.

Search instances

To search for instances, insert a query in the input bar and press Enter to run the query. The results displayed are images that contain instances that match the query.

For example, if you searched for instances of pedestrians annotated with a bounding box, the search results are images that contain pedestrians annotated with a bounding box.

Approve/disapprove image flow

We improved the flow for approving and disapproving images.

  1. Open an image in the editor.
  2. Hover over its thumbnail in the image panel.
  3. Select the thumbs up icon (or press Ctrl + Shift + ↑) to approve the image or the thumbs down icon (or press Ctrl + Shift + ↓) to disapprove the image.

When you approve or disapprove an image, the thumbs up icon or the thumbs down icon becomes highlighted in the image panel.

📘

  1. Approving or disapproving an image does not change the status of an image. An image can be approved and still be in progress.
  2. If at least one instance is disapproved, then the whole image is disapproved.

❗️

Find the Complete, Quality check, and Return buttons at the top of the right panel.

Image upload limit

You cannot upload more than 50,000 images, whether it is in a root folder or a folder. The remaining images will be skipped.

📘

If you want to upload more than 50,000 images to your project, you can do so by creating multiple folders. For example, if you need to upload 100,000 images, you can create two folders and upload 50,000 images to each folder.
