In this release, we’re bringing you new and improved API keys, big updates to Explore, as well as an improved template import experience for your projects!

API Keys

SuperAnnotate now supports Personal, Team, and Organization API keys with configurable expiration, rotation, and revocation. API keys replace existing SDK tokens, while Team API keys can also be used for authentication in Custom Actions within Orchestrate pipelines.

Existing SDK tokens will continue working until they expire or are revoked.

Explore updates

We’re introducing Chart view (currently known as Insights) to provide you a real-time visualization of your dataset in Explore. We’ve integrated it into Explore with an updated experience and full querying capability using our improved Query syntax to allow for a smoother curating and management flow.

Accessing this requires Beta mode to be switched on.

Template import update

When importing a template into an existing project, you now have the option to decide whether you want the template to replace everything, or to be appended at the end of your form for you to use the contents as you need.

Other features & improvements

  • The Python SDK `upload_annotations()` function now supports an `integration` parameter, allowing you to use an existing SuperAnnotate integration when uploading annotations that reference private external URLs.
  • We’ve added the `grant_team_user_permissions()` and `revoke_team_user_permissions` Python SDK functions which allow you to grant and revoke team-level permissions.
  • The `SA.getAvailableTransitions()` function for the web component now also returns the status ID.

What do you think of the update? We'd love to hear your feedback.
