January 29, 2023

We're starting the year with a release that's going to enhance your SuperAnnotate experience. We've brought you new features to the Text Editor, Pipelines, and more.

Improvements in the Text Editor

New tools in the left panel

We added two new tools in the left panel of the Text Editor:

  • Select: selection tool
  • Entity: classification/annotation tool

When you click Select or press V on the keyboard, you’ll be able to select instances on the canvas.

When you click Entity or press E on the keyboard, you’ll be able to create instances by highlighting text.

Instance information

When you hover over an instance in the in the Text Editor, you can now see the following details:

  • Class name
  • Attribute group name
  • Attribute(s)

When you hover a class, you can click the edit button to edit the class or you can click the delete button to delete the instance.

Item information

When you click on the item dropdown menu, you can see all the items in the project. When you hover over the information icon, you can see the following:

  • Item name (which you can copy)
  • Name of the project to which the item belongs
  • Name of the folder where the item is located. If the item is in the root, then the name of the folder would be Root.
  • Assigned QA. If the item doesn’t have an assigned QA, the name would be Unassigned.
  • Assigned Annotator. If the item doesn’t have an assigned Annotator, the name would be Unassigned.

Single sign-on (SSO) (Beta)

We're making your SuperAnnotate experience even more seamless. With single sign-on (SSO), you'll be able to integrate your SSO solution to SuperAnnotate for secure user authentication. SSO improves user productivity ; employees can use one set of login credentials and get access to all corporate applications.

Currently, you can use SSO with the following identity providers that use the SAML 2.0 authorization protocol: Azure, Okta, and Ping Identity. If you don’t use one of the mentioned identity providers, you can still set up SuperAnnotate SSO using a custom SAML SSO configuration.

To configure SAML SSO with SuperAnnotate, please reach out to our Customer Support team via [email protected].
