With this release, we’re bringing a few new features and updates to enhance your experience in the Video Editor and Text Editor. Keep on reading to learn more!

Grouping experience

You can now add multiple instances to a single group in the Video Editor to indicate that several instances belong to one object. For example, you can group all instances of joints that belong to one person. This feature can also be tracked under the Insights tab.

Group instances

Method 1:

1. When in the Video Editor, select one or multiple instances.
2. Right click on them to open a pop-up.
3. Go to the Group tab.
4. Under Group ID, you can assign the instance(s) to an existing group. To create a new group instead, click the + button or type a unique name in the field and press Enter on your keyboard.

Method 2:

1. When in the Video Editor, select an instance.
2. In the right panel, find the instance and expand it.
3. Go to the Group tab.
4. Under Group ID, you can assign the instance(s) to an existing group. To create a new group instead, click the + button or type a unique name in the field and press Enter on your keyboard.

Method 3:

1. When in the Video Editor, select one or multiple instances.
2. Use the shortcut Ctrl + G to automatically assign them to a new group.

Approve/Disapprove text items

We’re bringing the Approve/Disapprove feature to Text Projects. You can change the approval status of text items either through the Text Editor or in the Explore tab. The approval status for text items can also be found by querying in the Explore tab, and it will be tracked under the Insights tab.

From the editor

To approve or disapprove a text item:

1. Open the text in the Text Editor.
2. Select the thumbs up button to approve the text (or press Ctrl + Shift + ↑ on your keyboard) or the thumbs down button to disapprove the text (or press Ctrl + Shift + ↓ on your keyboard).

From the Explore tab (in bulk)

You can also approve or disapprove text items in bulk from the Explore tab:

1. In the Explore tab, when in Grid View, select one or multiple items by clicking on their checkboxes or clicking Select all.
2. Click the Approve/Disapprove items button in the menu at the bottom.
   In the pop-up, select an approval status from the dropdown: Approve, Disapprove, or None.
3. Click Change.

Timeline event creation

We’ve improved Event creation so that you can add an Event with a specific time frame directly from the timeline:

1. In the left panel, select the Event tool, or press E on the keyboard.
2. Hover over the timeline and place the cursor where you want the Event to start.
3. Click and drag the time frame you wish to highlight with this Event.

Other features and improvements

We've improved the performance of Autotrack. Autotrack is a feature that uses a tracking algorithm to help you automate part of the annotation process for faster annotation.
