Small changes go a long way. This new release brings updates that will improve your experience and help you label data better.
Rotated box
The rotated box is the latest addition to the tool panel in the vector editor. The rotated box is similar to the bounding box, except that you can rotate it.
To activate the rotated box, right-click on the bounding box in the left panel or press Ctrl+X. Next, create a rotated box by drawing a line to set its width, then move the rotated box upwards or downwards to determine its size. To rotate the box, drag the rotate tool in a circular motion.
The rotated boxes are skipped during the COCO conversion.
Image search bar
Previously, the search bar displayed images whose name started with your search term. For example, if you searched for IMG1, the names of the image results would start with IMG1.
To enhance your search experience, we changed how the search bar works. Now it displays the images whose name include your search term. For example, if you search for IMG1, the names of the image results will include IMG1.
Image filter
You can now filter images in a more elaborate manner. We removed the pin button and replaced it with three filter options:
- All: Pinned and unpinned images.
- Pinned: Pinned images.
- Not pinned: Unpinned images.
The filter works the same in the pixel and vector editors and the Images tab.
Export project name
We changed the name of the project export zip folder.
- Before: MMM DD YYYY HH_MM UserName.zip
- Example: Jan 18 2021 15_45 Taylor.zip
- Now: ProjectName MMM DD YYYY HH_MM UserName.zip
- Example: Buildings Jan 18 2021 15_45 Taylor.zip
Other changes and improvements
- Adding a comment does not change an image’s status.
- Approving an instance does not change the status of a Completed image.
- You can see the label of a point even if it is too close to the image border.
