This release brings you Multimodal form builder changes, Monitoring page overhaul, item category management, random task assignment, and more!

Multimodal updates

Item category management

You can now manage the categories in your projects as needed from the project’s settings. There, you may view all the categories in a list, create new ones, edit their names, or delete them from your projects and subsequently from any items they were added to.

Form builder properties

In the UI Builder, we’ve changed the layout of the right panel and separated the contents into different sections to access and identify them with ease. Now, depending on the component type, you will see their properties under Content, Settings, Visibility, and Format.

Under Format, we’ve added the ability to change the appearance of some components to fit your form better.

Comments in Zoom View

You can now add comments to individual components through Zoom View, allowing for a much smoother feedback and communication flow in your project.

Component update

  • Group - we’ve added the Collapsible property, which allows you to enable an expand/collapse functionality to your Group components.
  • Grid - we’ve added the Sticky property, which allows you to keep the Grid component in a static position. This is useful if, for example, you need one column with fixed content and a second column that is scrollable.
  • Checkbox and Radio - we’ve given these components the Layout property. This lets you decide if the options of the component are displayed vertically or horizontally. In case of the latter, the options are wrapped neatly to fit the component’s given space.

Monitoring overhaul

We’ve changed up the look of the Monitoring tab in Orchestrate.

You can still view the data of all actions commenced within your pipeline on the chart, and now the actions are presented in a neat list below. Clicking on an action will open up a drawer menu that gives you all of the corresponding details of the action, based on its type. You’ll be able to see the chain of events and actions that lead to the commencing of your selected action, when it took place (if successful), and all necessary information.

Random task assignment

We’ve added the new Random assignment setting under the Task Request Settings section of your project’s settings. What this does is it lets your project’s contributors automatically receive items at random from the folders they have access to (if any), as well as unassigned folders and the project’s root.

This feature is available so long as Automatic assignment is enabled, and Priority score assignment is disabled.

What do you think of the updates? We’d love to hear your feedback.

We have a blog. Check it out to stay updated.
