Upload items to folders

Here are the ways you can upload items to folders within certain types of projects.

Image Projects

To upload data in a folder in Image Projects and Image (Legacy) Projects:

  1. In Data, go to the folder.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Choose the data you want to upload. You can upload images, videos, or annotations.
  4. Follow the steps: image upload, video upload, annotations upload.

  • When you open the editor from a folder, the image panel shows the folder’s images only. When you open the editor from the root folder, the image panel shows the root folder’s images only, excluding the ones in folders.

Video or Audio Projects

To upload videos to a folder in a Video or Audio Project:

  1. In Data, go to the folder.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Select Upload Video or Audio.
  4. Attach URL or add items from your integrated cloud storage (AWS, GCP, Azure and Custom).

To upload documents to a folder in a Text Project:

  1. In Data, go to the folder.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Select Upload Documents.
  4. Attach document URLs or add items from your integrated cloud storages (AWS, GCP, Azure and Custom).

Item upload limitations

  • You can't upload more than 50,000 items to the root or a folder. The remaining items will be skipped.
  • A project can't contain more than 500,000 items.
  • A folder name can't exceed 120 characters and can't contain the following characters: / \ : * ? " < > |
